Abstract

A feminist and a political activist from a young age, Wissa participated in the 1919. Demonstrations against the British Occupation.

She joind Hoda Shaarawi's committee at Alwafd party and became famous for her political views. She wrote several newspaper articles addressed to Lord Allenby, British High Commissioner to Egypt and the Sudan, to release Saad Zaghloul and other political.

Detainees from prison. In 1924, she founded a society called. "Working for Egypt" and headed it until 1962. Wissa was awarded the Order of Virtue in 1969. She's deided in 1990.
