Shaqhab , Marj al-Saffar, Mount GhabaghibAbstract
The Battle of Marj al-Saffar (Shaqhab) is one of the immortal historical battles, although it is less famous than other battles fought by the Mamluks, but it had a great impact on both Mamluk and Mongol history, in which the common people and scholars played a major role in the victory of the Muslims under the leadership of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalawun and his princes in this battle. This incident also limited the Mongol influence and refuted the ambitions of the Mongol Khan Mahmud Ghazan to expand in the Islamic world, and kept them away from Egypt and the Levant for a long period of time.
