The effectiveness of an awareness program based on the theory of the occultation of Imam Mahdi in enhancing cultural immunity against cyber invasion among female university students.

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of an awareness program based on the theory of absence in enhancing cultural immunity against cyber invasion among female university students. To achieve the research objectives and test its hypotheses, an experimental design with an experimental group and a control group was used, along with pre- and post-tests for both groups. The research sample consisted of 40 female students in the experimental group and 40 females’ students in the control group, after they were matched in some variables. The researchers developed a cultural immunity scale, which in its final form consisted of 32 items, after calculating its psychometric properties of validity and reliability. Face validity and construct validity were calculated using the indices of distinction and internal consistency, while reliability was calculated using two methods: test-retest and Cronbach's alpha. The researchers also prepared an awareness program based on the theory of absence, consisting of 12 sessions, one session per week. This program was presented to a group of professors specializing in educational and psychological sciences to obtain their opinions on its suitability for its intended purpose. After implementing the program with the experimental group and administering the post-test to both groups, the results showed There are statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group that received the program, as demonstrated by the application of formula to the Cohen scores of the experimental group Female students between the post-test and the reference test. The research concluded with a number of recommendations and suggestions.
