Abstract

In this research, we defined interpretation linguistically and technically. We explained that interpretation is the meaning for which grammatical structures are created, and this is achieved through grammatical analysis. We also discussed the explanations of early scholars regarding interpretation, whose focus revolved around explaining the reason, stating the cause, or finding a way out for each structure they chose. Modern scholars' explanations of interpretation are summarized by the principle of "no error and no ambiguity." We then demonstrated the expansion of research on interpretation and its inclusion in all related fields of knowledge in the Arabic language, including rhetoric and exegesis, in addition to grammar and morphology. For al-Amin al-Mahalli, interpretation was distributed across the parts of speech: interpretation in nouns, interpretation in verbs, and interpretation in particles. Finally, we pointed out the points of agreement and disagreement in the interpretation he chose for a given issue
