Abstract

John Luke developed the concept of the philosophy of education، which was common in the 5th and 6th centuries، by introducing a new element، which is his understanding of the nature of the educated، known as (the white page). The white page concept is based on the idea that the brain of a human being at the time of his birth is just like a white page.

The research identifies the general features of the philosophy of John Luke، one of the most prominent representatives of the philosophy of science and reality، and his role in the establishment of the philosophy of education، depending on the information that could achieve the goals. The researcher’s method depends on the descriptive method to analyse the importance of John Luke’s role in establishing the philosophy of education. The research results show that John Luke applied his philosophical ideas to education، which played a great role in formulating his philosophy of education that is based on philosophical principles.
