Abstract

This study examines envy from a cultural criticism perspective, exploring its role beyond moral judgment as a symbolic force within social and literary discourse. By analyzing philosophical views and Arabic poetic representations, the research reveals how envy reflects deeper tensions in power, identity, and value systems. The study concludes that envy functions as a cultural mechanism that shapes symbolic hierarchies and social narratives.
