This study investigates the life and intellectual biography of the author Abu al-Fath al-Karajaki (d.449AH1075/ad) and his work Al-Tafḍīl through a comprehensive methodological and analytical framework. It also seeks to elucidate the scholarly method and stylistic approach he employed in the compilation and presentation of his material. The book, as described by its author, constitutes a doctrinal treatise intended to demonstrate the rank, virtues, and superiority of Imam Ali, based on numerous historical reports and events .Al-Karajaki substantiated these claims with Qur’anic verses, providing explanations of their occasions of revelation, as well as with Prophetic traditions that emphasize the unique status granted to Imam Ali by the Prophet Muhammad over others .Given the significance of this work, the present study first addresses the author’s biography, including his education and teachers. It then proceeds to a systematic analysis of the book’s methodology by examining its structure, organization, and the author’s scholarly approach and stylistic features. Finally, the study identifies and evaluates the principal sources upon which the author relied in compiling his work
