Maps are the language of geography, and with the advancements in cartography, the methods of creating them have evolved significantly. Today, the preparation of maps involves the use of the best and most modern techniques, particularly advanced geostatistical methods. On the other hand, thematic map analysis has begun to take a more advanced direction by incorporating geostatistical analysis techniques. In this research, the author explores the use of geostatistical methods in data representation, starting with deterministic and statistical methods, followed by spatial interpolation with barriers, as well as the Weighted Inverse Distance (IDW) and Global Polynomial Interpolation methods. Additionally, other techniques such as Inverse Distance Weighting (IDW) and Kriging. Statistical analysis of the studied phenomenon was conducted using a set of statistical tools to uncover distribution patterns and population trends, both in general and according to administrative units. These methods were applied to population distribution to achieve the best analytical results. The research focuses on the use of advanced geostatistical techniques in preparing cartographic models for the population distribution of Karbala Governorate during the period (2013-2022(
