Abstract

The study aims to identify the intended objectives for revealing the spatial variation of people with disabilities in Al-Anbar Governorate, in order to determine the most significant variables influencing this variation. To achieve this, several research methodologies and scientific approaches were employed, including the descriptive method, which relies on gathering facts and data about the phenomenon to determine its spatial and temporal characteristics, as well as the analytical method, which examines spatial and temporal differences. Through a study of the numerical and proportional distribution of people with disabilities in Al-Anbar Governorate in 2023, the total number of people with disabilities reached (343,192), with a rate of (170.46 per thousand). The center of Hit District ranked first among administrative units with a rate of (409.84 per thousand), while the center of Ramadi District came last with a rate of (97.54 per thousand). Understanding these factors and changes in the geographical distribution of people with disabilities can guide future development policies and help direct efforts to provide necessary services and improve their quality of life.
