Usul al-Fiqh (the science of principles of jurisprudence) is a purely Islamic science. Its purpose is to establish general rules and methods to assist the jurist in deriving practical legal rulings from their detailed evidence. It seeks to achieve a deep and systematic understanding of the Shari'a, taking into account its objectives and general principles. To achieve this, the scholars of Usul al-Fiqh (the science of theology) relied on the science of theology and linguistics, in addition to jurisprudence and the noble hadith. Subsequently, Usul al-Fiqh research developed to include logical principles and philosophical perspectives, leading to the renewal of Usul al-Fiqh research, the expansion of the scope of ijtihad, and the establishment of precise rules for deduction. Accordingly, this research aims to demonstrate the extent to which Usul al-Fiqh has been influenced by philosophy and logic. This research examines the origins of Usul al-Fiqh philosophy, the reasons for Usul al-Fiqh scholars' reliance on philosophy and logic in Usul al-Fiqh research, and the extent of Usul al-Fiqh's relationship with Islamic philosophy. It also examines the legitimacy of philosophy in Shari'a sciences, and the extent to which Muslim scholars have relied on philosophy and logic, highlighting examples of the philosophical and logical rules used in Usul al-Fiqh research. The research is divided into two chapters, each with three sub-topics, all of which examine the extent to which Islamic philosophy has influenced the science of the principles of jurisprudence. And God is the Granter of success.
