The impact of climate change in onion crop productivity in Wasit province

Abstract

The study analyzed the impact of climate change on onion productivity in Wasit Governorate, to reveal the impact of this change, which was reflected in the change in the climatic elements studied, and to know the impact of this change on the productivity of this economic crop. It is known that climate change affects various vital areas, including agricultural crops (onion crop), which was the focus of this study for the period (1991-2020). The study revealed the presence of a change in climatic elements, which affected the productivity of the onion crop in Wasit Governorate, and the change in these elements plays a major role in climate change. The study concluded that the change in onion productivity has the effects of change.
