Abstract

The duality of life and death between the poets Abu Dhu’ib Al-Hudhali (27 AH) and Abu Al-Ala’ Al-Ma’ari (449 AH)

The duality of life and death has preoccupied all humans throughout history and continues to do so. Everyone examined it through the lens of his cultural background and intellectual maturity. He is impacted by the factors of his existence and becoming. And the poet is more than engaged by this couple to incorporate various، influential، and effective elements into his poetic text. Our research is centered on examining the viewpoints of two poets who are separated by time and space to discover the similarities and differences between the two viewpoints. Therefore، the research is separated into the following sections:

Introduction: The importance of the concepts of life and death in Arabic poetry.

- The first topic: the duality of life and death in the poetry of Abi Dhu’ib Al-Hudhali (the poet’s life، including its influences - the development of his interest in this duality، the shock factor (the death of his children ....)

- The second topic: the duality of life and death in the poetry of Abu Alaa Al-Maari. The influence of blindness on the creation of the poet's personality، the poet's social situations، the poet's consciousness and culture، and the birth of his distinct vision of this duality are all covered in this topic.

All of this is accompanied by a text indicating what we want to confirm and demonstrate.

- The conclusion and the results that we were able to detect and indicate.
