Abstract

It is beyond doubt that overlooking the study of a vital sector of the Iraqi؛ indigenous population and a significant element of its structural composition, affects presenting an objective interpretation of the developments and understanding of the relative historical facts. This study talks about the issue of the Nabateans, and the situation experienced by this people who were forbidden to express themselves, during historical stages that spanned more than four centuries, by analyzing the texts written by compilers in this era.There was a community facing each other, eating each other. Thus, works written by authors appeared that gave a picture of the variable events and the facts of the days in a way that reflects the nature of coexistence in Iraq during this era. Who are the Nabat? What is their relationship with other components of Iraq? How did they deal with the Arab Muslim conquerors? Answers through which we try to trust the issue of the Nabataeans and their origins through an objective and purposeful reading in the books of the Arab-Islamic heritage
