Abstract

Margin is one of the terms that have become common in postmodern critical studies and among the terms of cultural studies. In this intervention, the two researchers attempt to link the term postmodernism to the ancient Arab heritage by tracing the traditional sources that included writing in the margin. This intervention resulted in defining the margin in language and terminology and tracing it in cultural studies, and then tracing the literature. The subject of the margin has varied according to the diversity of the sources. The two researchers found writing in the social class margin, and they found writing about tramps, thieves, singers, stingy people, parasites, fools, scumbags and many others, and the religious margin, so we stopped at the Kharijites, as well as with regard to the types of margins from other classes. The two researchers will arrive at results that they will present in Conclusion of the study. The most important point that can be said here is that these compositions have preserved for us exciting news, provided important information, and preserved for us creative literary texts that we would not have been able to monitor had it not been for those compositions in an area far from the sphere of attention of political authority and therefore far from the centrality of critical interest and literary choices. Linguistic citations, etc.
