Abstract

Prose poems occupied a wide area of ​​interest among researchers and critics, especially in the recent times of the twentieth century, when more than one study appeared that dealt with issues and topics related to analyzing the prose poem and revealing its meanings, which called for the importance of considering and explaining the poems of the prose text. The poet Munther Abdel-Harr was chosen. To be the living example in our research to identify these types of poems and analyze them according to semantic and pictorial criteria that rely on the art of metaphor and simile and their pillars. Drawing illustrative tables showing the frequency of these arts in the poet’s poems and how he deals with building the semantic image of meaning. And to come up with a final result, the results of which are an explanation of the method of drafting the prose poem written by the poet Munther Abdel-Harr, and how the rhetorical and semantic arts influence the recipient of the prose poem through analyzing the verses of the poems in a manner that depends on explaining the meaning of the poetic sentences in which the simile or metaphorical image appears.
