In our research, we dealt with contracts in the Fatimid state, as the subject of contracts is one of the important topics that man has used throughout the ages due to the urgent need for them. Finance that takes place between individuals, groups and countries.
The Fatimid state paid great attention to contracts by allocating scribes and specialists. The contracts in the Fatimid state were different, economic, commercial, agricultural and social.
Our goal in this research is to show the contracts and covenants that were prevalent in the Fatimid state and how to write and codify them. In carrying out this research, we relied on a group of sources and references that enriched the research and produced it in this way, which is the book (The Curriculum in the Knowledge of the Abscesses of Egypt) by Al-Makhzoumi (T: 585 AH / 1189 AD). And the book (Al-Kamil in History) by Ibn Al-Atheer (d.: 630 AH / 1232 AD) and the book (Nihaayat al-Arb fi Fonun al-Adab) by Al-Nuwayri (d.: 732 AH / 1331 AD) and the book (Studies in the Relationship between Italian Cities) by Saber Mahmoud Diab and the book (Foreign Traders in Egypt in The Fatimid era) by Ahmad al-Sayyid Muhammad and the book (The Historical Development of Marriage Contracts in Islam) by Ahmad al-Shami and other sources and references
