Abstract

The history of the Arabs before Islam is of great importance in studying the history of the Arabs in general, especially Islamic history, as it is its foundation and pillar upon which it is based, as many economic, social, political and cultural phenomena in Islamic history cannot be explained except by returning to their ancient origins in pre-Islamic history, as many customs Traditions and political, religious, economic and cultural phenomena are an ancient foundation, but they have evolved over time, even if the names or actions differ. The geographical and regional nature of the Arabian Peninsula had an impact in determining the forms of economic relations between the population and the type of work they practice to earn their living.

The research included an introduction that stated its importance and the approach that the researcher followed in writing and recording information, mentioning the most important sources and references on which the research was based, then the introduction, which contained a brief picture of the industries, crafts, and sections of Arab society through the economic and social aspects, mentioning the factors for the development of the craft and industry as well. It clarified the craft, industry, and profession, then detailed the view or position of Arab society toward each form of economic activity, which was as follows:

The first axis: Arab society’s view of the agricultural profession.

The second axis: Arab society’s view of industries.

The third axis: Arab society’s view of trade.

Finally, he mentioned the research results reached by the researcher.
