Abstract

The history of Britain has received attention from researchers due to its role in global history, and this interest has become clear from studies examining all areas of life, whether economic, political, or social, and following up on all developments that Britain has witnessed.

From this standpoint, we are trying in this study to shed light on two historical stages in the history of Britain. The first is the stage of Clement Attlee assuming the position of Prime Minister and his endeavor to implement a new policy in his country in the post-World War II period, in line with the tendencies of the Labor Party to which he belongs. As for the second stage It is the era of Margaret Thatcher, Prime Minister of the Conservative Party. She also assumed responsibility at an important historical stage, which was represented by the division of the world into two axes, the first capitalist and the second communist, amid the decline of Britain’s global role.
