Abstract

The research dealt with the evaluation of raw and drinking water for water production plants (projects، water congregation، wells، desalination plants (RO)، solar-powered plants) in Wasit Governorate for the year 2021، which produces 756،441 m3/day، where the average per capita share of Potable water supplied to the population served (0.345 m³/day/capita)، which is less than the global standard for the average per capita amount of potable water. Water losses within the water transportation network in the governorate constitute (20%)، and raw and drinking water recorded a higher amount than The limits allowed to be used internationally and in Iraq for the indicators {electrical conductivity، calcium ion، turbidity، sulfate}، and the percentage reduction in the amount of indicators for raw water before pumping it to citizens for the purpose of drinking in drinking water projects in the governorate fluctuated، as the highest percentage reduction recorded for the turbidity indicator (67.40%) )، while the magnesium ion recorded a negative value for the reduction of -2.63%، as the treatment plant units in these projects do not show efficiency in removing pollutants properly.
