Abstract

This study aimed to assess the entrepreneurial performance of senior academic leaders at Baghdad University by evaluating various dimensions, including Risk, creativity, entrepreneurial culture, and competitive advantage. Additionally, the research sought to understand the influence of these dimensions on strategic excellence, specifically in the areas of opportunity exploration and investment. The study employed a descriptive-analytical methodology, developing a questionnaire based on established scales from previous research. The study population consisted of heads of scientific departments, including branch heads, totaling 172 department heads. The researcher collected 125 valid responses, with 83 in paper format and 42 electronically.

The study results revealed a favorable level of entrepreneurial performance among senior academic leaders, while the level of strategic excellence was deemed moderate. Furthermore, the findings indicated a statistically significant impact of entrepreneurial performance dimensions on strategic excellence. Based on these results, the study recommends a focus on enhancing both opportunity exploration and investment strategies to promote excellence in strategic performance.
