Self-transcendence and creativity (Correlational relationship)

Abstract

Self-transcendence is a continuous process of personal improvement in order to expand our potential. This process of improvement is not based on self-reference, but rather on serving others. Creativity is associated with a wide range of phenomena, hence it is used to describe individuals, groups and even societies. Creativity can be used to refer to individuals, processes, products, and environments alike, and therefore, creative products should not only be original, but also useful. Accordingly, the research focused on finding the relationship between self-transcendence and creativity.

The research aims to identify: self-transcendence among fine arts students. Creativity among fine arts students. The significance of the correlation between self-transcendence and creativity among fine arts students.

To achieve the results of the research, two measurements were applied: self-transcendence and creativity on a sample of (400) male and female students of fine arts. The results resulted in the fine arts students enjoying self-transcendence and creativity, and the two variables are related to each other with a positive relationship.
