Grammatical cases of nouns in the interpretation of "Lubab al-Tafsir" by Al-Karmani, who passed away after the year 500 AH

Abstract

This study is entitled "The Cases of Nouns in the Interpretation of Labab al-Tafasirir by al-Karamani (d. after 500 AH)." It collects the scattered issues of the cases of nouns in the interpretation, which consists of ten volumes. I chose the cases of nouns rather than other linguistic topics, which are numerous in the interpretation, because the author paid great attention to them. Therefore, I chose this chapter for the study. Al-Karamani's approach in this chapter is to identify the cases of nouns in the Qur'anic verses, mention their rulings, and discuss the opinions of different scholars about them. Although al-Karamani is inclined to the Basran school, which is evident in his work, he was honest in transmitting opinions and attributing them to their owners, regardless of their linguistic schools. The section on the topics of the installed structures is organized as follows: The research in this chapter is categorized into two types: the direct object and the adverbial object. The direct objects include: (the absolute object, the object of it, the object with it, and the object in it). As for the adverbial objects, they include: (the adverbial of manner, the adverbial of specification, the vocative, and the exception).
