Abstract

     Finnish-Soviet war 1941-1944 offered a good opportunity for both states to appreciate their geopolitical status quo and respond to it peacefully instead of war as happened earlier; this is specially come true  after initiating developments of cold war. However, the proper assessment of Finnish-Soviet relationship resulted in signing treaty of friendship 1948 which based on Finnish realization of Moscow's needs for security in turn of Soviet admission that Finland retains its independence and western regime .the most important outcome of this study is that the  treaty become a holy pact that organize bilateral affairs between parties till the end of cold war. This pact made Finnish people live peacefully with their grand neighbor.
