Causes of visual pollution in the New Baghdad municipal unit

Abstract

Attention to visual beauty in the urban environment is one of the most important factors that prevent the emergence and development of the phenomenon of visual pollution in the New Baghdad municipal unit. Therefore, the research included two sections. The first section is to study the impact of random, unplanned changes that occur on urban land uses and is subject to the requirements of society, which contributed to the exacerbation of the problem of visual pollution. While the second section included studying the many interconnected reasons that led to the emergence of non-urban scenes that distort the visual image and have negative effects on a person's psychological, mental and physical health, In addition, it contributed to the imbalance of the components of the urban fabric of the research area, and these reasons are : economic, social and cultural reasons, planning and design reasons, administrative and legal reasons, procedural reasons, visual culture, cultural dependency, imbalance in the general context of the urban landscape.
