Abstract

Prepositions are one of the pillars of the parts of speech, and the most important of them because of the function they perform in linking speech, conveying the meanings of verbs to nouns, and because they contain meanings that contribute to the meaning of the sentence.

Among the valuable books on its subject and style: the book Durar Al-Samt fi Khabar Al-Sabt, and due to the availability of prepositions in the book Durar Al-Samt fi Khabar Al-Sabt by Ibn Al-Abbar Al-Andalusi, a grammatical study.

The research came in one section that includes the definition of the letter and prepositions and the names of the prepositions and the increase (and alternation and inclusion) and their number, and the details of their meanings with mention of evidence from the book Durar Al-Samt, and this section is preceded by an introduction, a preface and followed by a conclusion, and a list of sources.

The conclusion came with several results, including: Despite the difference in the meanings of prepositions inside and outside the context, the function of prepositions remains the same, which is attraction and conveying the meanings of verbs to nouns, and other results. In conclusion, I ask God for success and prosperity.
