Abstract

The current research aims to identify grief among orphans by testing the following hypothesis:

There are no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05)) in the ranks of the research sample members' scores on the grief scale.

In order to achieve the goal of the research and its hypothesis, the descriptive approach was chosen, and the current research community was identified with orphaned female students in the secondary stage of the schools located in Hilla and affiliated to the General Directorate of Education of Babylon for the academic year (2022-2023), whose number is (695) students, and the sadness scale prepared by the researchers was used according to Worden (1987) theory for data collection was applied to the sample of (400) female students, and the data was processed using a number of statistical methods, and the results showed the presence of sadness among the sample, and based on the results, the study came out with a number of recommendations and suggestions.
