The impact of social reality on shaping the features of Iraqi politics through the Mosul newspaper: parties and banquets 1918 - October 1920 A model:
Parties and banquets constitute the cornerstone of building and strengthening the social bonds of nations, but sometimes these parties go beyond the social nature and have political or cultural goals. Therefore, parties and banquets were exploited by the British administration to implement its agenda in Iraq. The period of time is the duration of Britain’s direct control over Iraq, and certainly the cornerstone of Britain’s policy towards Iraq and how to deal with it in the coming years was laid. The research was divided into three axes, in addition to the introduction and conclusion. The first axis talked about social parties with a political dimension, while the second axis studied social parties with a cultural dimension, and the last axis talked about social parties with a protocol dimension.
Anyone who follows these parties and banquets and the level of attendance by the people and the elite will become clear to him the extent of the acceptability of the British administration by Iraqi society, but in many of these articles the numbers and names of the invitees were not mentioned, and this is what makes us question the propositions of the acceptability of the British administration, and we cannot deny in any way the existence of acceptance of the British presence by some segments of society for one reason or another.
