The effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in developing mental fitness among medical staff

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the effectiveness of the method (cognitive behavioral therapy) in developing psychological fitness among health personnel by verifying the following zero hypotheses:

The first hypothesis: There are no statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group (cognitive behavioral style) before and after the program on the psychological fitness scale.

The second hypothesis: There is no effectiveness of the cognitive behavioral therapy counseling method in developing the mental fitness of health personnel

To achieve the aim of the research, the experimental method was chosen, and the research community, consisting of health cadres distributed among six health centers in the Nahrawan sector, was selected, namely (Al-Ihsan, Sheikh Hatif, the Oil Complex, Al-Ruwad, 9 Nissan, Bismaya), and the study sample consisted of (20) female employees in the health center Among them (10) in the experimental group and (10) female officers who obtained low scores in mental fitness, after applying the psychological fitness scale prepared by the two researchers 2022 On a sample of (210) female employees in health centers, the cognitive behavioral therapy counseling program was applied, which consisted of (12) counseling sessions on the experimental group, and then the mental fitness scale was applied again (post-measurement) on the experimental and control groups, and the results showed The research is the effectiveness of the counseling program (cognitive behavioral therapy) in developing the mental fitness of health personnel.
