Hadith reform among the People of the House (peace be upon them) and its role in preserving the Sunnah of the Prophet

Abstract

Muslims rely on the Noble Prophetic Sunnah to derive Islamic rulings, laws and values, as it is concerned with explaining and clarifying the Holy Quran, interpreting it and clarifying its legislative content. The Prophetic Hadiths have been subjected to falsification and distortion by liars and infiltrators in Islam to distort the message of the Noble Prophet (may God bless him and his family and grant them peace) and distort it from its course. The Imams of the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them) had a prominent impact in preserving the pure Sunnah and became a source of hadith, narration and clarification of legal rulings. They fought innovations and misguidance and directed the necessity of preserving the narrative heritage. This research sheds light on the features of the Hadith reform among the Household of the Prophet (peace be upon them) and clarifies their role in preserving knowledge, purposes and objectives carried by the Prophetic Sunnah, and identifies the lies, fabrication and distortion that the Prophetic Hadiths were subjected to, and clarifies their word, position and evaluation of the Hadiths in order for the Prophetic Sunnah to reach intact without any addition, subtraction, fabrication or distortion.
