Incense Road and its importance in Yemen Trade until the fourth century A.D

Abstract

  The Incense Road is an important trade route that extended from the south of Yemen and took a path in different directions outside its borders, important commercial centers arose along it, which had a major role in reviving economic life, not only in Yemen but also among the Arab tribes whose homes are located on its roads. Through this road, many of the systems and rulings that prevailed in Yemen were transmitted to the commercial centers and various cities that it traversed. The kings of Yemen were able, by-laws and understandings that took place with the sheiks of the tribes and kings, to achieve great success in the movement of incense caravans and large imports.
