Abstract

The current research aims to determine the effect of the rhythmic criticism strategy on the achievement of prosody material among second-year students in colleges of education. To achieve the research objective, the researchers followed the experimental method in their research procedures. The research sample consisted of (70) students, with (36) male and female students in the experimental group and (34) male and female students in the control group. The experiment continued throughout the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. After statistically analyzing the data obtained, several results were obtained, the most important of which was: The performance of the students in the experimental group who studied prosody using the rhythmic criticism strategy was superior in the prosodic achievement test. In light of these results, the researchers drew a number of conclusions and made several recommendations. To further explore the research, the researchers also proposed a number of suggestions.
