Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a counseling program based on the educational thought of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) in confronting cultural invasion among a sample of university female students. The study adopted a quasi-experimental design with two groups: an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was exposed to a counseling program grounded in Hussaini educational values and principles, while the control group received no intervention. A Cultural Invasion Confrontation Scale was administered pre- and post-intervention to both groups. The results revealed statistically significant differences in favor of the post-test for the experimental group, no significant differences for the control group, and significant post-test differences between the two groups in favor of the experimental group. The study concluded that the counseling program based on Imam Hussein’s educational thought was effective in enhancing cultural awareness and strengthening intellectual and value-based immunity among female students, highlighting the importance of integrating authentic religious thought into educational and counseling programs to confront contemporary cultural challenges.
