The impact of the SWOT strategy in acquiring the concepts of measurement and evaluation among students of the College of Education

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the impact of the SWOT strategy on acquiring the concepts of measurement and evaluation among students of the College of Education. To achieve the objective of the research، the researcher used the semi-experimental research method، designing the two groups with the post-test. classroom (A) was chosen to represent the experimental group taught according to the SWOT strategy، and classroom (B) to represent the control group taught in the traditional method. The number of students reached (96) male and female students، with (48) male and female students in each group. The two groups were rewarded in two variables: the students' chronological age، and intelligence. The researcher prepared a test to acquire the concepts of measurement and evaluation and to ensure its validity and reliability. The researcher used the T-test for two independent samples (T-test) for statistical treatment، and the results of the research showed the superiority of the experimental group that was studied according to the SWOT strategy in acquiring the concepts of measurement and evaluation according to the processes of acquiring definition، discrimination and generalization.
