This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of a guidance program based on the principles of positive psychology in enhancing psychological hardiness among sixth grade secondary students at Al-Karkh Boys’ Preparatory School in Baghdad/Al-Karkh First District. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with experimental and control groups, using pre-test, post-test, and follow-up measurements. The sample consisted of 60 students, evenly divided between the two groups. The experimental group participated in the guidance program, while the control group received no intervention. The researcher used the Psychological Hardiness Scale by Emad Makhimer (2002) to assess program effects. Results revealed statistically significant differences favoring the experimental group after the intervention, and follow-up measurements confirmed the program’s lasting impact. The findings suggest that positive psychology-based guidance programs effectively strengthen students’ ability to cope with academic and psychological stress.
