Abstract

The current research aims to utilize artificial intelligence applications in developing visual teaching aids, such as images or diagrams, for physics lessons within the curriculum. Based on previous studies and the researcher's teaching experience, it was found that obtaining or developing visual teaching aids for physics lessons is challenging. This was also evident in the results of a preliminary survey conducted by the researcher, which included several expert teachers with advanced degrees in physics or physics teaching methodologies. The researcher experimented with several artificial intelligence applications to develop a set of visual teaching aids for various topics in the sixth-grade physics curriculum. A method for developing these aids was developed using generative language modeling (GLM), a simple and straightforward approach implemented through the Gemini application. After generating the aids, they were reviewed by experts to ensure their suitability and effectiveness for the intended learning objectives. After consulting with experts, the researcher concluded that the AI-generated visual learning aids are sound, easy to prepare, and suitable for use in schools. However, they require linguistic review when using Arabic, necessitating minor text editing using image editing software. The researcher recommended using AI applications in developing visual learning aids for physics lessons.
