The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Improving the Educational Reality in Iraqi Universities

Abstract

The research problem lies in the necessity for our educational institutions to keep up with global competition by shaping students in line with the ever-evolving and expanding knowledge era. This can be achieved by focusing on equipping university students with a set of skills required for life in the age of information and communication. The research aims to identify the role of artificial intelligence in improving the educational reality at the colleges of Al-Mustansiriyah University from the perspective of students. It also seeks to explore statistically significant differences among the students of the College of Education at Al-Mustansiriyah University based on their perspective, according to the variable of specialization (humanities vs. sciences). The research is limited to students from the College of Education, including both scientific and humanities departments, at Al-Mustansiriyah University for the academic year 2024–2025. The researchers will follow a set of procedures, including describing the research community and sample. They will develop a specific research tool by reviewing literature and previous studies, in addition to utilizing an open-ended question. The tool’s validity and reliability will be verified. The research will yield several results, which will then be presented and interpreted. Finally, a set of conclusions, recommendations, and suggestions specific to the research will be provided
