Abstract

This study aimed to identify the awareness of positive parenting among parents of primary school students in the Emirate of Sharjah and to explore the relationship between positive parenting and certain demographic variables (gender, age, and educational attainment). To achieve these objectives, a descriptive correlational approach was employed, and a questionnaire was developed and administered to a random sample of 80 parents of primary school students in Sharjah. The results indicated that parents of primary school students possess a high level of awareness of positive parenting. Furthermore, a relationship was found between positive parenting and both age and educational attainment; the older the parent, the greater their awareness of positive parenting. Those holding a bachelor's degree demonstrated the highest level of awareness of positive parenting. The study concluded with several recommendations and suggestions.
