Digital skills among kindergarten teachers

The current research aims to identify the digital competencies of kindergarten teachers, and to determine the significance of the difference in digital competencies according to the variable of years of service (10 years and below - 11 years and above), and the significance of the difference in digital competencies according to the age variable (35 years and below - 36 years and above) among kindergarten teachers. The research sample consisted of (133) kindergarten teachers in Baghdad/Al-Karkh Second for the academic year 2025-2026, who were selected by the simple random method. To achieve the research objectives, the Digital Competencies Scale was constructed in its final form consisting of (21) items, after ensuring its validity and reliability. The research results showed that kindergarten teachers possess digital competencies, and no differences appeared in the digital competencies of teachers according to the age group. In light of the current research results, the researcher recommends the necessity of designing training programs aimed at upgrading the digital competencies of kindergarten teachers, and preparing counseling programs and psycho-educational courses for teachers to train them on the growth and development of digital competencies, so that they become more capable of achieving their goals.
