This research aims to measure the level of academic self-control among university students، in addition to studying differences in academic self-control based on the variables of gender and specialization. To achieve the research objectives، the researchers used the Academic Self-Control Scale developed by Kennett (1994)، which in its final version consists of 18 items. The researchers established the psychometric properties of the scale، such as validity and reliability، and administered it to a sample of 400 male and female students from Al-Mustansiriya University. The results showed that the students possess academic self-control، and the results also showed no statistically significant differences based on the variables of gender and specialization
