Abstract

Talk about education continues to acquire important dimensions that have had a significant impact on social reality. No one doubts that a cultural and cognitive achievement cannot be measured from its success or failure except through its social dimensions and the extent to which educational outcomes are compatible with the success of ideas and their harmony in daily life.

Hence, in this research, we will review the mechanism of knowledge and the extent of its contribution or ability to activate the role of universities in Iraqi society. The mechanical view is one of the views that contributed to the development of scientific research in the West, as described by Bertrand Russell in his important book The Impact of Science on Society. We will try here to uncover this detail in order to circulate it, benefit from it, and employ it in strengthening the role of universities.

The research methodology required that I divide it into an introduction, two sections, and a conclusion, as follows:

The introduction

The first topic: on defining terminological knowledge

The first requirement: the mechanics of knowledge and its foundations

The second requirement: The scientific renaissance and its centrality

The second topic: The centrality of science in knowledge construction

The first requirement: The importance of science in knowledge construction

The second requirement: the connection between the mind and science and the means for that

Conclusion
