Emotional competence and its relationship to psychological resilience among students of the College of Education for Girls

Abstract

The aim of the research is to identify the level of emotional competence among students of the College of Education for Girls، and to find out the differences in the level of emotional competence among students of the College of Education for Girls according to the specialization variable  (scientific - human).

 The research community consisted of students of the College of Education for Girls، preliminary morning studies for the academic year  (2022/2023)، while the research sample was chosen in a stratified random manner from the College of Education for Girls and for scientific and human specialization. The sample size was  (100) female students، and for the purpose of achieving the objectives of the research، two tools are required to measure the main research variable represented by  (emotional efficiency). From experts in the field of educational and psychological sciences، and in the light of their opinions،  (40) items were retained، and their psychometric characteristics were verified، so that the number of items for the measure of emotional competence in its final form  (40) items، and the researcher verified its validity and reliability، and none of its items were deleted.

The researchers used a number of statistical methods، including  (the t-test for two independent samples and the t-test for one sample، chi-square test، Pearson's correlation coefficient، Cronbach's alpha equation)، and the results showed that there is a direct correlation between emotional efficiency، as well as the sample's enjoyment of a good level of emotional efficiency، And the absence of statistical differences between students of the College of Education for Girls in emotional competence according to the variable  (specialization)، and in the light of the results of the research، the two researchers drew a number of conclusions، recommendations and suggestions.
