The current research aimed to modify the academic choices of third-year middle school students through:
- Developing a collective guidance program to modify the academic choices of third-year middle school students.
- Identifying the effect of the collective guidance program on modifying the academic choices of third-year middle school students through the use of seven guidance program hypotheses.
The research sample consisted of (60) male and female students randomly selected from among third-year middle school students who had differences in academic preference and choice at Al-Shaheed Abu Al-Maali Middle School for Boys and Al-Ritaj Middle School for Girls.
To achieve the research objective, the researcher carried out the following procedures:
- Preparing a scale for scientific and literary inclinations for third-year middle school students.
- Formulating an academic choice questionnaire.
- Developing a collective guidance program.
The research concluded that the collective guidance program for modifying academic choices among third-year middle school students had a positive impact on modifying the academic choices of students in the experimental group (both genders).
