The Effectiveness of the Modification, Correction, and Deeper Digging Strategies in Developing Reading Comprehension and Creative Expression among Fifth-Grade Intermediate Students

The current research aims to accurately determine the effectiveness of the modification and correction strategies and deeper digging in developing reading comprehension and creative expression among fifth-grade middle school students.
The current research community consists of fifth-grade middle school students in Baghdad Governorate, Third Rusafa Education Directorate, for the 2023-2024 academic year. Therefore, the researcher identified a research sample of (87) students, who were randomly selected by lottery into three groups. The number of students in the first experimental group, Section (A), was (29) students, who studied using the modification and correction strategy. The number of students in the second experimental group, Section (D), was (30) students, who studied using the deeper digging strategy. The number of students in the control group, Section (C), was (28). The results showed a clear difference in the superiority of the two experimental groups over the control group. The researcher reached a number of conclusions and presented a set of recommendations and proposals related to the current research.
