The role of psychological counseling in reducing child labor and school dropout from the point of view of educational counselors

Abstract

The current study aims to identify the phenomenon of child labor in Iraq and the role of psychological counseling in limiting its spread in Iraq from the point of view of educational counselors. The study is limited to male and female educational counselors for the academic year (2020-2021). The role of psychological counseling in reducing the prevalence of child labor in Iraq from the point of view of educational counselors: It was built in the light of the open- ended questionnaire and the human theory and consists of (18) items. Male and female counsellor، and the measure of the role of psychological counseling in reducing child labor was characterized by the psychometric characteristics of discrimination، honesty and stability، and the researcher used the statistical bag (SPSS) to analyze the data، and the researcher reached a conclusion: Educators are higher than the hypothetical mean. As for any paragraph that is more severe than others، it is represented by paragraph (18)“ supervising the application of child labor laws and the extent of the community ’s commitment to implementing them، especially with regard to child labor in dangerous conditions، child exploitation and work with compliance contracts ”as it represents its weighted weight Its percentage weight، respectively، is (2.19) and (72.89)، while its lowest score was for paragraph (17) "Developing children 's capabilities and capabilities and encouraging them to innovate through the preparation of special programs and measures،" as it represents its weighted weight and its percentile weight، respectively (1.94).، (64.67)، and based on the results، the researcher reached some conclusions، recommendations and suggestions.
