Abstract

The research studied the grammatical context of metaphors that indicate capacity, as the context is important in revealing the grammatical judgment. Context, in its linguistic meaning, is succession, as indicated by linguistic dictionaries. In the grammatical context, time is the basic element, and it depends on the interconnection of the phrases with each other in order to highlight the meaning. And the combination of evidence to clarify the functional meaning in the context. After we clarified the context in language and terminology, we divided them purely on a sentence basis into the contexts of those words, and the contexts contained in these sentences varied between the nominal, verbal, and conditional sentences.
