Informative discourse in the narrations of reasons for revelation in the interpretation of Jami’ al-Bayan by al-Tabari (d. 310AH)

The interpreters of the Noble Qur’an were keen to interpret the Book of God in the best way, scientifically and linguistically, and therefore it was worthy of our attention to how they interpreted the Noble Verses, in terms of the syntactic patterns they used to convey the idea to the recipient, which is known as speech acts, and informational acts are one of the types of speech acts according to Searle’s classification. It is the subject of our research, from which we hope that the reader will seek benefit and information that quenches his thirst for questions on this subject. One of the most famous books of interpretations of the Holy Qur’an is the interpretation of Jami’ al-Bayan by al-Tabari. We took a sample of our research from it, and the research began by introducing the information and its types, then proceeding to study it in the sample book. Research and explain the purposes of news acts, the tasks and meanings they perform in texts, and the effect of formal structure in explaining the fulfillment purpose of the news act.
