This research examines the geographical factors influencing vegetable cultivation in the Al-Nil district, a crucial priority in crop production. The success of any crop depends on climate, good soil, and irrigation water. The study area is located in the southeastern part of the Al-Mahawil district, a significant center for vegetable cultivation. The research aims to analyze the relationship between geographical factors and the development of agricultural activities. It focuses on the role of natural and human factors in agricultural development. The descriptive-analytical method was employed, utilizing library sources and government statistics. The study concluded that the Al-Nil district possesses a strategic geographical location that positively impacts its natural resources, including climate, soil, and natural vegetation, all of which contribute to the development of economic activity in the study area. The study found that the area has 185,152 dunams of arable land and a population of 61,743. It also indicates that 3,545 dunams of the area cultivated with vegetables in the Al-Nil district were planted with these crops during the 2023 agricultural season.
