Helper’s High- middle school studentsAbstract
The current study aims to:1- identify helper’s high among university students. To achieve this objective, the Helper’s High Scale developed by Smith and Kawabata (2024) was adopted and translated in accordance with the Luks model (1992). In its final form, the scale consists of 11 items. The psychometric properties of the scale were established by examining its item discrimination, validity, and reliability، The scale was administered to a sample of 400 university students, comprising 200 males and 200 females, drawn equally from both scientific and humanities disciplines. The participants were selected using a stratified random sampling method with equal allocation، After administering the research instrument, the data were statistically analyzed using: the following statistical methods: the one-sample t-test, the independent-samples t-test, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and Cronbach’s alpha coefficient to assess internal consistency. The results indicated that the research sample possesses a significant level of helper’s high. In light of these findings, the researcher presented a set of conclusions, proposed several recommendations, and suggested a number of future studies.
