Abstract

"Hada'iq al-Anwar wa Bada'i' al-Ash'ar" is a distinguished book, written by Junayd ibn Mahmud ibn Muhammad (d. 788 AH). It contains a collection of poems and verses, primarily focused on the theme of description, whether describing spring, flowers, or fruits from various eras of Arabic poetry. Therefore, the text in the book is by pre-Islamic, Islamic, Abbasid, and Andalusian poets, in addition to other texts by female slaves. Based on this, I chose the book's poetry to study its color imagery. It contains extensive poetic themes that represent beauty in and of themselves, and are written by poets who hold a high standing in Arabic literature. Therefore, anyone who studies the book "Hada'iq al-Anwar wa Bada'i' al-Ash'ar" will find it filled with colors symbolizing various meanings. Therefore, the poets' depictions are in harmony with the significance of color in forming the color image, as it is an important pillar in formulating the poetic text
