Abstract

The research discusses the topic of memory and rebellion based on the analytical framework established by Michel Foucault, as Foucaultian mechanisms play an important role in determining the nature of the discourse that is acceptable or not in society, and each mechanism works on a specific discursive analysis. The archive and the episteme, when linked to the terms memory and rebellion in the Qur’anic discourse, provide an analytical dimension of how truth (knowledge) defines these two terms historically. While the mechanisms of (statement) and (taboo) have reached an explanation of the nature of the social restrictions controlling the discursive expression, (madness) comes through its examples that are copied and issued in a different discursive manner, revealing the resistance to the authoritarianism controlling reality or not, as (truth) is a type of timing of the type of discourse - according to Foucault - it is the result of the controlling authority by definition, as the discourse is taken in memory and the rebellion is the preservation between what is necessary and the denunciation of what challenges it
